Swish, Klarna or Card — Which Payment Method Is Best for Buying Tickets?

We weigh up the pros and cons of the most common payment methods for tickets in Sweden.

When buying tickets online in Sweden you are usually offered several payment options: Swish, Klarna and card. Which one is actually best — and are there any risks?

Swish

Pros: Fast, no card details shared, paid straight from your bank account.

Cons: No instalments, requires a Swedish mobile number.

Klarna

Pros: Pay now, in 30 days or in instalments. Built-in purchase protection.

Cons: A credit check is carried out, which may affect your UC score.

Card (Visa / Mastercard)

Pros: Works internationally, 3DSecure, chargeback rights through your bank.

Cons: Slightly slower, card details are shared (though never with us directly — Mollie handles everything PCI-compliant).

Our recommendation

At Ticketsweden we offer all three through our payment partner Mollie. Choose whichever feels most comfortable to you. Every payment is secured with SSL and PCI-DSS, and your card details are never stored with us.
