Some nights a city keeps talking about for years afterwards, and 5 September looks set to be one of them. Victor Leksell plays his only Swedish concert of the year, and he plays it at home in Gothenburg — in the wooded hollow of Azaleadalen, which last hosted a concert in 2011, when Coldplay stood on the stage. Nobody was surprised when the tickets went in a single day. Twenty thousand places sold out within hours. Leksell has built something unusual over the past few years: more than a billion streams, a run of number ones, and a catalogue that has followed an entire generation from Svag and Eld & Lågor through to Lys på mig and Skriker mitt namn. In the summer of 2025 he played to 165,000 people across twenty towns. Now he has inverted the whole idea and staked everything on one evening. Azaleadalen is not an arena. It is a natural bowl ringed by treetops, and the audience stands on the grass. The grounds open at 18:00 and the concert begins at 20:00. With an Early Entrance ticket you get in at 17:00 and can pick your spot before everyone else arrives — at a standing outdoor show that hour is the difference between seeing the stage and seeing the backs of other people's heads.
